Like most authors, Jennifer Chen is a humanoid organism. She is usually found in front of an unfinished Word document, ingesting caffeinated drinks, and daydreaming. She enjoys writing so much she went ahead and got herself an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia for it. Her screenplay,
Owen and the Whale, was ranked top ten in the Canadian Short Screenplay Competition 2015/16, which pleased her greatly.
Jennifer will read anything at least once, then gab about it over the course of several social gatherings. Of all the genres available, she most enjoys speculative fiction and magic realism.
Super!, her first YA novel, hit the shelves in 2018.
Jennifer Chen lives in Toronto, ON, with her turtle.
